Leading internationally recognized inter disciplinary research programmes in the field of Polymer Blends, Composites, Nanocomposites, Biopolymers, Recycling Technology, Polymer Electrolytes, Bio-sensors, Coatings & Adhesives.Published extensively in International Journals, authored many books with International publishers till date and have many patented technologies.

Instrumental in maintaining effective liaisoning with the industries, funding agency, consultants and Government at highest levels. Over the years, acquired good command over project management technique, risk evaluation and working capital management to attain self-sustainability. Always been a front runner in building, training and retaining strong and highly motivated Team.

Sucessfully completed several sponsored projects in the capacity of Investigator from various Government agencies & industries to undertake advanced applied research in the broad areas of Polymer Science & Engineering. Facilitated the promotion of opportunities to tackle 'live' problems and finding strategic methods for resolving them, leading to a range of scientific and technological accomplishments. The research projects undertaken dealt with development of novel polymeric materials and tailoring of properties based on suitable end-use for acquiring desired attributes.

  • Natural Fiber Reinforced Composites as well as Hybrid Nanocomposites with excellent mechanical, thermal and dimensional stability for various automotive applications.
  • Bio-Based Resins from Renewable Resources such as vegetable oils to prepare Nano-reinforced biopolymers as well as inter-penetrating networks have been developed for application as durable coatings and easily curable adhesives.
  • Plastics Waste Recycling & Management - A strategic route for recovery of high value plastics from electronic waste Development of a value - added formulation from the plastics retrieved from electronic waste for various applications.
  • Clean Water Initiative - Development of water filtration membranes based on clay and polymers and Innovative design of terafil water filter as a low cost alternative to the rural sectors.
  • Healthcare industry - Detection of lipids & glucose in human body polymeric membrane based sensors. Development of polymer based medical implants.
  • Exposure at leading star rated Universities globally, added to the technical competency and practical skills in the area of Advanced Materials and standardization, quality management while providing an insight into international practices.
